We've Gone To The Dogs

Dog Daycare and Boarding

Day Care

Let's face it, a lot of us hate leaving our dogs alone during the day. Since we usually can't take them to work, movies, restaurants, or shopping, they stay home for hours on end. They're bored, frustrated, anxious, and lonely. What's a concerned pet owner to do?

We’ve Gone To The Dogs daycare is the answer! Don’t feel guilty leaving your dog home alone all day anymore. Let them have fun! We provide constant supervision and play. We love dogs and can’t think of a better way to spend the day than hanging out with a pack of furry friends. Drop off your pal, go to work or about your activities, and at the end of the day, pick up a happy, tired, tail-waggin’ dog and head home for a pleasant evening together.

Daycare is for those active dogs that never seem to run out of energy. Or maybe you worked all day and can’t face that much needed walk. Older dogs sometimes can’t quite make the nine or ten hours at home alone. And puppies… puppies will learn excellent social skills, and we can run that battery down!

At We’ve Gone to the Dogs, we cater to a variety of dogs… from couch potatoes to the shy wallflower, the social butterfly and the ball chasing maniac. For those with separation anxiety, we take extra loving care to help these guests find their spot in the playgroup.

ALL dogs that wish to come to daycare are required to come in for an evaluation. We hold evaluations during the week and the cost is $25.00 per dog.

Feel free to email us at [email protected] to schedule your evaluation! You will drop your dog off between 7am-9am, your dog will spend the day with us for their evaluation and then you will pick up between the hours of 2pm-6:45pm. We will discuss how the evaluation went at pick-up.

Checklist for your first day of day care:

*Completed copy of the Application Packet (Personality Profile and Release Agreement)

*Documentation of up to date vaccinations:

*Parvo, Distemper, Rabies, Bordetella (we will honor the yearly vaccine but we highly recommend getting a booster every six months),and Canine Influenza (including the booster vaccine).

*Flea & tick preventatives are highly recommended but not required. If your pet is found to have fleas, they will be sent home.

*A lunchtime meal or snack if your dog eats at lunchtime (we can also provide food at lunchtime upon request) at no extra charge!

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DOG COMES WITH A COLLAR ON THEIR NECK. MESH AND RUBBER COLLARS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HERE. CHOKE CHAIN AND PINCH COLLARS WILL BE REMOVED BEFORE PLAY OR WHILE IN CRATE.

Schedule for a typical Day Care Day

Arrivals 7AM to 9AM

Dogs are greeted and they are then escorted to their appropriate play groups. We have eleven outdoor play yards on our 7 1/2 acres of fenced in fun.

Structured Playtime 9AM to 12PM

Playtime will include active play with our human group leaders. We throw balls, play soccer, play frisbee, and in the summer we have wading pools in the yards for our water crazy friends. We also have plenty of play equipment to climb on. We will provide one staff member for every five to fifteen dogs. Large and small dogs will play separately to avoid accidental injury to our smaller friends, and elderly clients will enjoy quieter spaces.

Nap Time 12PM to 1PM

At this time, all the dogs retire to their own crates in the indoor play rooms. After four hours of active play they need to rest, unwind and relax. Lights will be turned off and music will provide a calming atmosphere for everyone.

Afternoon Free Play 1PM to 5PM

Play is very similar to the morning activities but tends to be less structured. Those signed up for training will be worked with during this time.

Winding Down 5PM to 645PM

Activity is slowed and everyone winds down while they wait for their people to pick them up.

Every day at We've Gone To The Dogs your dog will enjoy hours of playing and learning with our professional and nurturing staff.
